Leisure gnomes are most often seen at the fishing hole or relaxing with their pipe. Culture gnomes will often be reading books or playing an instrument. There should be a weather resistant base on any type of lawn gnome you select. Placing a gnome on a concrete block or stone will help it stand up to bad weather but it is still best to use a materials that will not rust or rot.
