The main factor to growing and nurturing garden lawn is the amount of water and fertilizer you provide. It all depends on the situation of the garden lawn, and the moisture level that eventually urge you to decide how much and how to irrigate your garden.

It depends on how you think of irrigating your garden considering several factors. However, sprinkler irrigation is one of the most effective options that you can consider for your garden. If you do not have ideas concerning the application of garden sprinklers, you can visit websites or consult some skilled gardeners.

What Are the Things that Sprinklers Do?

Sprinklers facilitate overhead irrigation whereby water is sprayed with the help of high-pressure sprinklers. You can make your own lawn sprinklers and place it somewhere at the central positions in your field. This system is made with a couple of equipments like spray or sprinkler heads, rotors, and pipes.

Rotors can play key role in this watering method, which are controlled by a gear drive and a ball drive. They work with impact mechanism. You can set them to rotate either in a full circle or a partial circle considering the area you need to cover.

What Sort of Irrigation System Will You Set Up?

Well, you have preferences and you can do any alteration and modification to the existing and typical irrigation system. Set up your sprinklers on a moving platform joined by a hose to your water supply. And for your expediency, you can make moving-wheeled system and shift it wherever you wish. You can call it traveling sprinklers which are effective for the applications just like irrigating small farms, pastures, parks, sports fields etc.

How Do These Traveling Sprinklers Function?

These systems utilize a piece of polyethylene tubing that is wound on a steel drum. This tubing is wounded on the drum and is powered by small gas engine equipment facilitating you to pull your sprinklers across your garden filed. More interestingly, when your sprinklers come back at the reel, your system shuts off! Some gardeners call it water-reel traveling irrigation system. They’re used extensively for irrigation, dust suppression, and land application of waste water.

Therefore, you decide which type of irrigation method or lawn sprinkler systems will suit your lawn care purpose. Set up your irrigation system accurately and do your best to get your garden green!

A Touch of Elegance: Outdoor Wall Fountains

Indoor and outdoor wall fountains add a touch of grace and elegance to any design.  They are simple to hang and use and can also be found in solar powered designs so that they are environmentally friendly and not a draw on the power supply.  Outdoor wall fountains must be maintained in the winter months in climates that get freezing weather so that the fountain is not damaged by the water freezing in the unit.  However, other than monitoring the water level and adding to it occasionally, these outdoor wall fountains are easy to maintain and will last for years to come.

Designs

Outdoor wall fountains come in a variety of different styles and are manufactured out of different materials so that the proper one can be chosen to fit a landscape design.  The typical materials for an outdoor wall fountain are wood, stone or copper, although plastics and other materials can also be found.  Most of the time these fountains do not have to be hooked up to a water source, but instead circulate the water through the fountain over and over again.  In addition, there are outdoor wall fountains of smaller types that will run on batteries rather than a power outlet so that there are not any cords hanging down from the fountain.

There are some outdoor wall fountains that can be found for around one hundred fifty dollars.  These are usually the smaller fountains, but they come in a variety of different designs.  One such fountain is shaped like a sun with a face on it.  It is made out of a burnished bronze material and the water for the fountain comes out of the sun’s mouth and falls into the pool below.  Another such fountain in the same price range utilizes some geometric shapes in its design.  It is curved at the top into a half moon which has the shape of half a flower inside of it.  Below is a square box that has a series of smaller squares inside of it until, at the center, a water spigot is placed from which the water fountain pours out into the trough below.

Another style of wall decorative fountain has the face of the sun as the background, and the water flows out of the sun’s mouth into the water trough below.  A stone wall fountain has a series of bowls down the face of the fountain so that the first bowl holds the water and it flows through three holes into the second bowl which is larger.  From that bowl, the water flows through four holes into the final trough at the bottom of the fountain, thus creating a mini waterfall effect in the wall fountain.
